My experience with
Eric E. Robertson, WA state representative and
A fire department “investigator”.
In 2019 Mr. Robertson was hired by my fire department lawyer, Snure Law Office, and the Mason County Fire Chiefs’ Association, to investigate me, a volunteer firefighter. There were two sets of complaints submitted to my Chief. One from another in-county Chief and one from myself. So when this self-described “impartial investigator” contacted me for an interview, I was happy to sit with him.
Years later I learned that he was a former Captain with the WSP, the very same agency I filed my complaint with. This was not disclosed and is clearly a demonstrable conflict of interest.
During this interview, the investigator Mr. Eric Robertson did not ask me a single question about my complaints filed with Amy Thornton, WSP, and only asked very pointed questions regarding the complaints against me.
In my view and based on my interaction, Mr. Eric E. Robertson is a hired hitman, a rubber stamp. He is not interested in following the evidence where it leads. He is not even interested in receiving evidence from the subject of his sham investigation.

ERIC E. ROBERTSON, ended his investigation without notice and while I was in the process of submitting evidence about Chief Volk’s history of hazing, misconduct, abuse of power, making false statements in police statements, and sexual misconduct with minors under his command. Requests to submit the evidence and reopen the so-called investigation were ignored and are still ignored in 2021.
The Conclusion of his investigation was that he felt it was acceptable that the Mason County Fire Academy use racist and anti-Semitic mnemonic devices and nothing should be done about my complaint. You can draw your own conclusions as to what kind of a person would endorse this practice. See complaint below.
In one reporter’s opinion, Officials hire Eric E. Robertson so they can tell the public that “there is an investigation underway”. He is highly conflicted and not qualified to handle Human Rights Complaints filed with the WSP. If you make a human or civil rights complaint with the WSP and Eric E Roberton shows up to investigate, you’re fucked. He is there to bury and end you, not help you.
UPDATE: Do not trust this man! Anything you say to Eric Robertson can and will be used against you in matters well beyond your current interaction with him. Eric Robertson has provided our interview and interactions to my department and others as testimony in other civil court cases. It is my experience that anything you say or do with this man can and will be used for the pleasure of anyone who pays him. He is a WSP loyalist and endorsed by the WSP Captain’s association.
